Solzhenitsyn's semi autobiographical novel originally published in the Soviet Union in 1966 in samizdat but banned the following year. It's about a small group of patients in Ward 13, the cancer ward in 1954 a year after Stalin's death. Inspired by a hospital in Tashkent.
