Franz Stassen’s absolute masterpiece, "Parsifal", work in Elephant folio with the beautiful illustrations taken from Wagner’s work  and with some of the leitmotifs from the opera. 

Stassen 1869-1949 was  German artist, illustrator and draughtsman. His work illustrating some of Wagner's operas is among his most well known though he also produced editions of Grimm's fairy tales and Goethe's Faust. He was a friend of Wagner's son Siegfried.

+ 15 loose sheets, each accompanied by the original
illustrated and printed tissue paper.
Sheets in excellent condition (only a small tear on the bottom margin
of the first tissue paper), complete text, hardcover
with small cracks on the coating of the spine (not severe), original
raw cardboard case with label with small flaws at the edges.
A museum-worthy piece! In excellent condition with original box. Complete.
Rare, especially hard to find in this condition.
