Pinter, Harold - Landscape - 1st limited ed Copy 367 inscribed by Peggy Ashcroft
Landscape by Harold Pinter first edition hardback published by Emanuel Wax for the Pendragon Press in 1968.
Landscape is a 1 act play originally written for Radio though performed on stage subsequently. A man and a woman, a married couple speak though they don't seem to hear one another.
Inscribed on half title "for Trekkie with love Peg, 15.6.69." Peg was Peggy Ashcroft who appeared with Eric Porter in the first performance broadcast on BBC Radio in 1968, Trekkie was the artist and lithographer Trekkie Parsons who became very close to Leonard Woolf after Virginia's death.
This is copy no 367 of a limited hardback edition of 2000, the first 1000 intended for the UK the second 1000 for the USA.
There's a printed Pinter signature on the final page at the end of the play. Please see pictures. Stain to front cover. Pink end titles . Pink faded spine with title etc in gilt. Very good.
