A collection of poems by Clément Marot (1496-1544), the great French poet of the Renaissance period, in their original French language.

Limited edition to 2,500 numbered copies made with greatest care. Published in 1951 by Union latine.

Volumes are whole leather bound with gilt title on the back and embossed portrait on front covers, top edges are gilt, marbled endpapers, 23 x 17.5 cm. Each volume goes into its slipcase.

The text of 222 and 167 pages is printed by Draeger on watermarked velin d'Arches paper and is illustrated with original etchings by Paulette Humbert (1904-1994).

Good overall condition: back slightly rubbed, other defects are minor.
