In 1967 Baron Wolman was chief photographer and co-founder of a magazine that in word and picture would report the times that were plenty of a-changin': Rolling Stone. Most of the photos in the first three years of publishing of the magazine appeared, were by him. He photographed Jimi Hendrix, Mick Jagger, Janis Joplin, Frank Zappa, The Pink Floyd, The Doors, The Who - an almost complete list of the usual suspects from the sixties. Wolmans work style set the tone for the approach that Rolling Stone would also maintain in later years, after Annie Leibovitz took over.
