This edition published in Cologne by Taschen in 1998. Blue binding with gold lettering on spine and front cover.More than 250 illustrations with 120 in colour. Paintings, gouaches,watercolours, graphic works ceramics, sculptures and his works for opera, ballet and theatre are all covered.
The text contains memoirs from the artist himself as well as fellow artists and writers including Breton, Apollonaire, Aragon, Malraux. Teshuva met the artist in 1951 and knew him until Chagall's death in 1985.
No markings or inscriptions small tear to dust jacket front top and some bumping otherwise very good dust jacket which now has a protective Brodart transparent cover. Book near fine.
